The iguanas' big brother

You probably cannot tell from this iPhone picture (I took more shots with our better camera) but this is a local crocodile in the resort pond. It's been there everyday when the sun is shining.

Some of the local wild life

These iguanas are everywhere when the sun is out. And then nowhere at night. I prefer seeing them so I know where they are. Their big brother is in one of the resort ponds.

At Dolphin Discovery

Hey Nicole, we did it. Pictures and videos to show next time we see you. If you get the chance, do it!

We made it to Mexico!

In line now for customs at Cancun airport. Both flights were actually early, SLC by 25 mins and CUN by over 35. Nice.

Productive morning

My girls still aren't out of the woods, yet. They are all still a bit sick, but I think we can all see the edge of thr forest now. It helps that everyone got a good night's sleep.

This morning was nice and productive. Instead of just sort of aimlessly doddling around on Saturday morning, we put a To Do list together at breakfast. So far, I mowed the lawn, got the weed eating done, cleaned the BBQ and hot tub, sprayed weed killer on the back hill and side yard, picked up dog poop, swept the driveway and sidewalk in front of our house, and trimmed the bushes next to my truck. Wow, it seems like even more when I write it out.

The girls came out for a little bit to dig in the dirt, watch me clean the hot tub (I don't know why they want to watch that), and fly their little foam airplanes I got then for Christnas. It was a very nice morning.

Still on my To Do list:
Clean toilets
Finish Blair's computer
Get down SCUBA gear
Decide what to pack
Work on AT-AT computer

And we're on our way home

Sitting on the Eastbound Capitol Corridor train from Emmeryville to Auburn. What a fun, enjoyable day!

My trainer will be happy to know that I worked out in the hotel fitness center tonight.

It was late, but I warmed up on the treadmill, then used the dumbells to do bicep curls, step-ups, and I can't remember the third one, but it's where I put my left shin and left hand on the bench, then hold the dumbell in my right hand and use my back muscles to pull that db up to basically hip level. Then repeat for the other side. Finally, steady-state on the treadmill for 15 mins. So, didn't use the equipment she sent me with this time, but if she hadn't encouraged me to bring it, I know I wouldn't have bothered to go to the fitness center at all.

Thanks, Suzanne! See you Friday (not Saturday as I'm spending the day with my dad in Sacramento).

Six years of waiting...

Longest. Business Dinner. Ever.

At least for me. Wow! I flew into Portland (PDX) at 4:30 this afternoon. I drove to downtown Portland and after some circular driving, arrived at The Veritable Quandary (http://www.veritablequandary.com/) at 5:45. We left at 10:15. I had a wonderful dinner with a colleague, one customer, and two vendors. But man, I am pooped now! And it was NOT diet-friendly. Good thing my trainer sent me here with a couple pieces of gear to workout. Better do it tomorrow.

I have a great wife. Always have. Always will.

I always knew this - absolutely no question - but tonight (okay, technically last night), Sarah reconfirmed that she is the best wife I could ever have. She balances me out so well, and she can tell when things are really important versus just a passing phase. I love you, Sarah.
