Our Girls are Mermaids

Our girls have been doing synchronized swimming for the last three seasons, and tonight is the first night of Championships competition. Their team, the Auburn Mermaids, has been undefeated two seasons in a row during regular season, but came in second to Davis last year. All the Mermaids are working hard to prepare and do their best this weekend. I am such a Proud Papa!

First Camping Trip of 2017

We set off for Lee Vining and June Lake areas yesterday, June 8. Our normal campground is closed due to snow still, so we headed for a new place.

Along the way, we stopped in Carson City for some food and to stretch. Chip liked it.

We checked five campgrounds and the only one that had space was Oh Ridge. It's large (140 sites), but the best part is we found two spots together so our friend, Darryl, can join us.

Another great thing about this campsite is the views of the sky are amazing. However, it is also very exposed to the wind.

This morning, we ate breakfast and just as Emily was mixing her hot chocolate, she found a beetle INSIDE her pants. Afterwards, I wished I'd gotten a picture of the little guy. In any case, Emily got it out and finally was able to relax enough to drink her hot coco.

Ella thought the "Beetle Incident of 2017" was hilarious!

5th Grade is done - now on to Middle School!

I hope this post becomes a rekindling of the Johnson Family Twins blog.

Fifth grade is officially over! The last day of school was June 1, 2017 and our girls are moving on to a new school. The year was a blast for them. There's no way to be able to capture all the memories, but I know that Camp Augusta and their teacher, Mr. Packheiser, were highlights for them. Here are a few pics from the last day of school and a couple other key moments.
