There are few things in life that make one feel a manly as starting power equipment

Especially when someone else has tried and wasn't able to start it. Yes, it is a little guilty pleasure for me. :)

Oh man, today was almost perfect

We started off with fishing and feeding the geese at Regional Park. Then we headed to Wings for lunch at the airport. After that, we spent almost 30 minutes walking around the airport looking at planes.

We saw some really neat planes. From a simple Cessna 172 that was painted blue with wild purple swirls, to two Steerman biplanes (circa WWII), to a Pitts aerobatic biplane. It was great.

I know last month I said it didn't get much better than sitting at home with my girls building Legos and playing Wii. Well, this was better! :) The only thing that would have made it truly perfect is if Sarah was with us. But she needed some rest and this was a great Father-Daughters Day.

Learning to cast with their fishing poles

Fishing with my daughters

I am at Regional Park enjoying some wonderful father-daughters time. Plus the weather is perfect. We're here fishing; although, I don't expect to catch anything. We also brought bread for the geese. Couldn't ask for a nicer day.

Waiting in the car in the rain

for Sarah to come out of the store. Gotta be ready to spring into action and help her with the groceries so she doesn't get too wet.

The girls had their first official day at preschool today. It went even better than expected. The teacher's assistant said the girls did great and it was like they'd been there before. I think that's a good sign of the socialization they've had already. They wanted to stay longer. They go back on Thursday.
