Another great day outside
Boy, what an awesome weekend. Yesterday was gardening in the AM and a movie (Rio) in the PM when it was raining. Today was gardening ALL day since the weather held out. We weeded the entire garden and added new soil. Then planted seven tomato plants.
I cleaned the BBQ and we at well. Lunch was simple hot dogs. Dinner was a birthday feast of rib eyes, asparagus, stuffed mushrooms, corn, and some garlic noodles. I love it when a plan comes together. :)

Finally caught up with me
Not that I need any pity, but dang I'm sick. Started on our last full day at Disneyland as just a tickle in my throat. Due to that, I coughed at night and haven't had a good night's sleep in over a week.
Last Sunday I got some poison oak. It doesn't bother me a lot, but it's one more thing that is making it hard to sleep. Wednesday and my tickle finally started to go away, but PO was not quite at its peak.
Thursday night I started coughing, then by Friday morning I could tell something else was up with my throat. Not just a tickle. Last night and my PO was clearing up. However, coughing so bad I slept in the living room. Today has gone from bad to worse. I think the traveling and poor sleep finally caught up with me. I lost my voice about 2:30 and can barely talk now.
Sarah has really stepped up. However, she needs to be careful since she is also sick. I think I got my sore throat from her. Fortunately, she hasn't lost her voice. I think that is because I was already coughing or a week from my tickle. In any case, I hope this all clears up within a week.

Just got some shut-eye
It is now 1:46am. Nick just took 30 mins to sleep in the van. We all caught some shut-eye. And we are off again.

Somewhere in Northern California
We stopped along Hwy 128 to wait for Nick to catch up. We found a cool old barn with a sign that read "Mountain House Winery." It would be interesting to learn some of the winery's history. 
Bike swap
It's 7:40 and we are still on Hwy 128. Heading to Hwy 1 about 30 miles away. Nick just swapped from his aero bike to another bike with lights. I will be driving soon as it gets dark. Nick is doing well! 
About to be the driver
We are pulling off to grab dinner. I'm going to drive soon. I think we are in Cloverdale.
Connected with Nick a few mins before 1pm
Now heading N again on 101. Looks like we are pulling over for photo opp to catch Nick riding around the bend. The cellular connection is not very good. Too many rolling hills. Not sure when this will post, but I'll try to keep the updates coming.

I am with The Race Crew about 20 miles N of Petaluma on Hwy 1 driving to catch up with Nick.
